The Academy
The 8th European Summer Music Academy (ESMA) takes place in Mitrovica from July 15 to 21 and in Prishtina, Peja and Gjakova, Republic of Kosovo, from August 22 to September 1 2019.
Young musicians (between 13 to 27 years old) from southeastern European countries and abroad have again the opportunity of studying with renowned European professors as well as meeting with their peers from other different countries.
As in the past, the ESMA 2019 is supported by several European embassies in Kosovo, Municipalities of Mitrovica, Peja and Gjakova, Rotary Club Aachen Land (Germany) and other Rotary Clubs in the Region of Aachen and other international and local institutions and sponsors.
ESMA 2019 is led by the Executive and Artistic Director Mr. Desar Sulejmani with the collaboration of the local implementers, NGOs Artium Eudora – ArtEU (Prishtina/Peja/Gjakova) and KOSOVA ARS (Mitrovica).
The 8th European Summer Music Academy – ESMA 2019 offers these masterclasses: guitar, piano, violin, viola, violoncello, flute, clarinet, trumpet, singing, composition and conducting.
As previously all students have the possibility to also attend several masterclasses for chamber music with piano, strings, woodwinds and brass.
The participation in ESMA 2019 is associated with a registration fee of 60 EUR per student.
The students from cities other than Peja and Gjakova are provided with lodging accommodation, including breakfast, by the student’s dormitories/hotels of the cities of Peja and Gjakova.
The students of the singing masterclasses in Prishtina are accommodated to student’s dormitories of the University of Prishtina “Hasan Prishtina” or bed & breakfast.
