The 5th edition of the European Summer Music Academy (ESMA) will take place from July 8 to July 17 2016 in the city of Gjakova. The students from Kosovo and abroad will have again the opportunity of studying with renowned European professors as well as meeting with their peers from other different countries.
As in the past, the ESMA 2016 will be supported by several European embassies in Kosovo, Municipality of Gjakova, Swiss Foundation Pirolo as well as other international and local institutions and sponsors.
ESMA 2016 will be led by the Artistic Director Mr. Desar Sulejmani with the collaboration of the local implementer, NGO GjakovaBasel which is located in the City of Gjakova.
As per now, ESMA 2016 will offer to its participants these instruments: piano, violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, horn and singing.
Based on the last year experience all students will also participate in chamber music groups. Additionally, they will continue the orchestral work in light of the Festival String Orchestra under the direction of the ESMA Artistic Director, Desar Sulejmani.
There’s no registration fee associated to the participations in ESMA 2016.
The students from cities other than Gjakova will be provided with shelter accommodation, including breakfast, by the dormitories of the city of Gjakova
